Terms of Service

1. Agreement

The Service is operated by Macaronpop ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Is

Sunlit Tarot is entertainment software that generates tarot readings automatically. The Service includes:

• Free readings, such as the Card of the Day and the three-card Past · Present · Future spread
• Paid products when available: a one-time Deep Reading (US$4.99), Credit Packs (US$9.99) and a Monthly plan (US$7.99 per month)
• Fictional AI reader characters (Sol, Rosa, Leo and Mari) who present the readings in their own voice

There are no human readers, psychics or advisors. Features and screens may change as we improve the Service.

3. For Entertainment Only (Important)

Every reading is for entertainment and personal reflection. Readings do not predict the future, are not guaranteed to be accurate and are not scientifically validated.

Readings are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice. Do not make important decisions based on a reading; consult a qualified professional instead.

We do not offer religious or spiritual services, spells, curses, charms, prayers or rituals, and we make no claim of supernatural ability.

If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact your local emergency number or a crisis line right away. When a question suggests a crisis, the Service shows support lines instead of a reading.

4. AI-Generated Content

Cards are drawn by our software using a random seed; the reading text is written by a third-party AI model (Anthropic Claude). AI-written text may contain mistakes or inconsistencies.

The readers are fictional characters, not real people. The same cards can be read differently depending on the reader, the topic and your question.

5. Who May Use the Service

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age for digital services in your country, such as 16 in parts of the EU) to use the Service.

You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to buy paid products.

6. Accounts

Some features may require an account created with your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure and for activity in your account.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@sunlittarot.com. We complete deletion within 30 days, except for payment records we must keep by law.

7. Paid Products

• Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
• Deep Reading: a one-time purchase of one Celtic Cross reading with up to three follow-up questions.
• Credit Packs: credits can be spent on deep readings and follow-up questions. Credits do not expire, have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
• Monthly plan: renews automatically every month at the price shown until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then.
• If we change a price, the change does not affect orders you have already paid for. For the Monthly plan we will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your renewal.

8. Payments and Merchant of Record

Our online payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our Merchant of Record. Dodo Payments is the seller of record for your purchase, appears on your receipt and card statement, and handles payment processing, sales tax/VAT and invoicing.

We never receive or store your full card number or other payment credentials.

Your purchase is also subject to the buyer terms of Dodo Payments. Delivery of the Service and our refund rules remain governed by these Terms and our Refund Policy.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

Our refund rules are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: unused credits can be refunded within 14 days, a delivered one-time reading is not refundable for change of mind, the Monthly plan can be cancelled at any time, and anything that failed because of our error is refunded in full.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use automated means to access the Service in bulk, scrape content, or get around free-use limits or payment
• reverse engineer the Service or use readings or deck artwork to train AI models
• resell or commercially redistribute readings or artwork
• enter other people's personal information without their permission, or use the Service to harass anyone
• break any law or infringe anyone's rights

We may suspend or limit access if we find this kind of use.

11. Intellectual Property

The Sunlit Tarot name, deck artwork, reader characters, software and design belong to us or our licensors.

You may keep and share readings you receive for personal, non-commercial use. Any other copying or distribution needs our permission.

12. Changes to the Service

We may change, pause or stop parts of the Service. If we discontinue a paid product, we will give at least 30 days' notice and refund unused credits and the unused part of any prepaid period.

13. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" for entertainment. We do not promise that readings are accurate or suitable for any purpose.

We are not responsible for decisions you make based on a reading. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for intent or gross negligence.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

Please contact us first at support@sunlittarot.com; most problems can be solved quickly.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in your local courts where the law allows.

15. Changes to These Terms

We will post changes on this page and update the effective date. For changes that materially affect you, we will give at least 30 days' notice on the Service or by email. If you keep using the Service after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms.
